Militants' weaponry in Donbas guarded by paratroopers from Orenburg – OSCE SMM report

OSCE Special Monitoring Mission (SMM) report registers presence of Russian troops in the place of storage of heavy weaponry of the so-called Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) in Donbas.

"An armed man guarding the facility at one of the sites claimed that he and those present at the site were part of the 16th airborne brigade from Orenburg, Russian Federation. They did not wear identifying insignia," reads the mission's report as of 19:30 on August 2.

According to the report, at one DPR site, two artillery weapons were missing. At another DPR site, after waiting 15 minutes for access, the SMM observed that two artillery weapons were missing.

The observers also noted that some withdrawn weaponry was also missing in the dislocations of Ukrainian armed forces.

In addition, the SMM continued monitoring the situation near Donetsk airport. The mission registered 140 blasts and fire from small arms.
