Ukraine gets stuck on Euro-3

Ministry of coal industry and energy of Ukraine offered to leave fuel Euro-3 standard valid till the end of 2015. The Department recommended the Cabinet of Ministers to approve the technical regulations, indulging fuel quality conditions for the traders. Whereas Euro-3 standard has been cancelled in Europe for rather long time ago, the new document doesn't even outline possible term for Euro-5 standard  impementation in Ukraine. 

Taking Euro-4 and Euro-5 standards were declared for coming into power in July, 2012, 3 of 6 Ukrainan refineries updated their production lines to correspond the regulation with. Nevertheless the initiative was frozen. The experts account it for lobbying some Naftogaz interests.
